Front garden consists a curbed area of land that houses the monument sign in front of our store.
The idea is to have all the available land to be under cultivation all the time. The challenge is to think far in advance, sometimes months, to decide what to plant in a particular location at what time of the year. Here in Northern California just in the middle of winter season the plants stop growing.
No pesticide or herbicide will be used whatsoever. Only Miracle Grow fertilizer will be used in the first few weeks after germination or transplantation till I get the feeling that they are established. Mostly leafy greens and vegetables will be planted all of the annual type.
After each harvest the soil is rotated and is completely mixed with steer manure so the soil will rejuvenate.
